Creating or Finding your Mailchimp API Key

If you're installing the integration for the first time, you'll need to generate an API key.  If you're updating the app, you may just need to find the one you've already generated.  The steps below will guide you either way.

1. Log in to your Mailchimp account.  In the bottom left corner, click the profile icon to open the menu, then select Account.

2. In the Extras menu, click API keys.

3. If you have an existing key, you'll find it in the Your API keys section.  If you need to create one, click Create A Key.  If you're installing the integration for the first time, it's important that you do not re-use a key from your list, but instead create a new one.  There is no cost to generate keys and no limit to the number of keys you can have.  Set the label of your new key to something useful so that you'll remember what it's used for, like "Digimatic Commerce7 Integration" or something similar.

4. That's it.  Copy the key to your clipboard and you'll paste it in to the install or update screens back in Commerce7.

Important Note About API Key Security
